Description

UFTON NERVET SU 66 NW 3/13 Barn Approximately 30 Metres To North-east Of Ufton Court G.V. II Barn. Early C18 with mid C19 additions. Part timber framed and part red brick with partially weatherboarded gabled porch to south-east and hipped old tile roof with catslide over later outshot to south-west. 7 bays with aisle to south-east and central chamfered breather openings with transoms to north-west and 2 to north-east. Paired boarded waggon doors, those to north-east with segmental relieving arch. Segmental arched entrance in lean-to to north-west with 2 arched recesses in inside wall. Interior: double purlin roof with stepped queen post trusses, and transverse and longitudinal bracing.
