Description
The waiting room at Mortimer Station, located on the southwest side of the railway line, was built in 1848. It is constructed of red brick, featuring stock brick strings and dressings around the openings. The front of the building is symmetrical, with a deeply recessed central section that has a round-headed arched opening. On either side, there are projecting wings that contain round-headed semi-circular niches. A continuous string runs at the impost level, forming impost blocks.
