Description
Bread Oven Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1600, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame structure with brick infill, as well as brick with grey headers and red stretchers, topped by a half hipped thatched roof. The building consists of two bays of timber framing, with a one-bay addition to the north and 20th-century extensions to the north and west. It stands at one and a half storeys, with a single-storey 20th-century extension. A ridge chimney is located between the two timber-framed bays, and the thatch sweeps around two eaves dormers on either side of the chimney.
On the east elevation, there are two two-light casement windows to the left, a central 20th-century gabled porch, and two more two-light casements to the right, which have cambered heads. Additionally, there is one two-light casement window in the 20th-century extension at the far right.
