Description

This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 1 metre to the east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Sulhamstead Abbots. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded base and top. The tomb has two fielded side panels and a single fielded end panel. The inscription on the tomb was illegible at the time of the last survey. It was formerly enclosed by railings.
