Description

St Nicholas School, built in 1859 by architect Butterfield, consists of two large blocks situated at the junction of Enborne Road and Rockingham Road, connected by a tower at the corner. The building features two storeys and an attic, with tiled roofs and coped gables. The red brickwork is patterned, and there are traceried windows along with gabled dormers. The tower has a short hexagonal spire topped with modern triangular lucarnes, and there is an arched doorway at the base of the tower.
