Description
The barn at Colthrop Manor is a 17th-century structure with alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick walls and weatherboarding on the north side, topped by a half-hipped roof covered in old tiles. There are two 19th-century hipped wagon entries on the north side, located in the third bays from the east and west, with the western entry supported by struts. Additionally, there is a wagon entry on the south side in the third bay from the east. The barn consists of eight framed bays with aisles, large transverse and longitudinal arched braces, and queen post trusses that include clasped purlins.
