Description

This is an anti-tank pillbox located at the north-west corner of Garston Lock, built in 1940 as part of the War Office design. It is a Type FW3/28 and was constructed to defend the lock, forming one of a pair. The structure is rectangular and made of concrete, featuring permanent brick shuttering. It is part of the Southern Command's GHQ Line Blue, which was established for the defense of the UK.
