Description
Wootten's is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century additions. It features a timber frame with angle braces, brick nogging, and some later brick refacing. The roof is covered with old tiles and is half hipped to the right. There is a ridge stack above the entrance, which is off-centre to the left, a ridge stack to the right on a rear wing, and another stack to the left at the rear. The building has a lobby entrance type and is arranged in an L-plan with five framed bays, standing two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are two three-light leaded casements to the right and a small leaded casement beneath the stack, which is off-centre to the left. There is a boarded door beneath the stack, also off-centre to the left, with a three-light leaded casement to the left and two three-light leaded casements to the right. Inside, the farmhouse features contemporary fireplaces, panelling with carved guilloche ornament, and a carved lintel in the staircase hall.
