Description
This building is a school structure located approximately 15 meters north of the gatehouse at Douai School. It was constructed between 1893 and 1895 by F. A. Walters in a Free Tudor Gothic style. The building is made of red brick with stone dressings, featuring plinth and cill string courses. It has a tiled roof adorned with seven gabled casement dormers, shaped gable ends, end stacks, and three cut down stacks that are corbelled from the first floor between the first and second, fourth and fifth, and sixth and seventh bays. The building has two storeys and an attic. The west front consists of seven bays, with two-light leaded windows on the first floor and ground floor cross windows that have arched lights and returned hoodmoulds. It was originally built for St. Mary's College.
