Description

Woolhampton Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century, with additions and alterations dated 1819. It comprises three parallel ranges constructed of different materials. The western range is red brick with occasional grey headers, features a dentil brick eaves cornice to its old tile roof, and has end stacks to the left and right. The central range is timber framed with brick nogging, has an old tile roof, and a central ridge stack. The eastern range is grey brick with an old tile roof. The central range has three framed bays and one-and-a-half storeys. The west front has two storeys and three bays with segmental-headed sash windows. A ground floor lean-to addition is present, along with a central gabled porch with dentil brick eaves, a plain semi-circular fanlight, and a 20th-century door. The north front exposes the timber frame, showcasing tension braces and a queen post truss.
