Description
Ferrises is a house dating from the 17th century and 18th century, which was remodelled in the early 20th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered, with brick and stone dressings. The building has two hipped canted bays and an old tile hipped roof with three stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays with glazing bar sashes, the ground floor windows having segmental heads. The central archway is supported by Tuscan half-columns in antis and features a keystone, with a doorway behind that has a shouldered architrave. Inside, there is one framed bay with a queen post truss, and a three-flight square well staircase from the 17th century, which has newels with bulbous finials and cut balusters.
