Description

No. 8 Carlton Crescent is a house dating from around 1830. It is a three-storey building with a basement, built of stucco, with a rusticated ground floor. The roof is slate, hipped in style. The front elevation has four windows, including a three-storey curved bow on the left-hand side. A cast iron balcony runs along the entire first floor and around the bow. A Doric portico provides the main entrance. This building is included on the list because it represents a good example of group value within the wider Carlton Crescent.
