Description
No 163 on King Road is a building dating from around 1840, though it may be older. It has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, constructed from Bath stone with chamfered quoins. The building features a moulded frieze and eaves cornice, a hipped slate roof, and three dormers with pedimented heads. On the first floor, there are three windows with architrave surrounds, which are late 19th-century sashes. The central entrance consists of an eight-panel door with an architrave surround, a frieze, and a cornice supported by console brackets. Nos 163-189 (odd) were likely designed by the same architect, with the exception of No 185, which is later, and No 167, which may be earlier. The building was formerly known as Wellington Place.
