Description
Numbers 4 and 6 on Eldon Road are two-storey buildings with a basement, built before 1840, likely by architects Henry or Nathaniel Briant. They are constructed from Bath ashlar and feature a hipped slate roof with central chimneys and deep bracketed eaves. The first floor has small round-headed windows on the outer sides, while the inner sections have French casements with thickened walls on either side. On the ground floor, there are tripartite glazing bar sashes set in bows, separated by a vermiculated dividing quoin strip. The outer round-headed doorways are adorned with vermiculated voussoirs. The buildings have flanking extensions, and the projecting front garden walls end in polygonal piers with crested capping, characteristic of the Eldon Square style.
