Description
Nos 12 and 14 Eldon Road, built around 1840, are a pair of houses likely designed by Henry or Nathaniel Briant. Constructed from Bath stone, they feature two storeys and a basement, with three-storey end pavilions. The slate roof has projecting eaves. The houses have glazing bar sash windows, with the centre featuring narrow outer windows and two ranges in the middle. The outer doors are positioned at an angle, with No 12 having a porch that includes a stilted segmental arch. The end pavilions have one bay and shaped surrounds for the first and second-floor windows, while the ground floor windows are round-headed with panels below, as well as impost and label moulds. The ground floor is channelled. The front is enclosed by Bath stone garden walls that have pierced roundels and moulded coping.
