Description
The building is a water tower located on Norcot Road in Tilehurst, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a circular plan with three stages. Each stage has semi-circular header blind arcading, alternated with sash windows that have glazing bars and semi-circular heads, all set in orange brick surrounds. A moulded brick string course separates each stage. The top stage includes circular windows with glazing bars arranged in groups of three, with small opening lights in the center. There is a planked entrance door with a semi-circular head and a flat canopy on the north side. Additionally, there is a loading bay with a derrick on the west side of the first stage. The building is currently used for storage.
