Description

Goodwins is a house with a 16th-century core, expanded in the 17th century and altered later. It is two storeys and has an attic. The main structure is timber-framed with brick and pebbledash infilling. The roof is tiled, and features three chimneys. The front elevation is irregular, with a large gable on the right side and a smaller gable over a two-storey porch. The house has cut and shaped bargeboards from the early 19th century, though the original finials have been removed. There are irregular casement windows: one in the attic, two on the first floor, and three on the ground floor. A small wing is linked to the two gables. The south front is pebbledash, with two casement windows and two dormers to the right. A central door is set within a 19th-century brick porch, and there are two modern aluminium windows to the left. The interior has been altered, but original timberwork has been exposed where possible.
