Description
Iris Court Rectory is a former rectory dating from the early 19th century, which has been significantly altered and extended in the late 19th century and mid-20th century. The building stands at 2½ storeys and features a south front with five bays, finished in stucco. In the center, there is a wide, two-storey bow window with a parapet, along with a late 19th-century brick porch. The windows are glazing bar sash types. The roof is mansard, with tiled lower slopes and two segmental pedimental dormers from the late 19th century, while the upper slopes are covered with slate. The building also has large chimneys. Iris Court Rectory is included to provide a setting for St. Michael's Church, Goodwin's, and Church Cottages, the latter of which is located in Tilehurst Civil Parish.
