Description
This is a two-storey, half-timbered house dating to the 16th and 17th centuries, situated on Aylesbury Street, Fenny Stratford. The exterior has been significantly altered; the first floor is cement rendered, and the ground floor has been brought forward to accommodate shop windows. There are three widely spaced modern casement windows on the first floor. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with new tiles. At the rear, where not hidden by later additions, remnants of timber framing are visible, with later brick nogging. There is no external chimney. The roof structure comprises three bays and includes partially exposed trusses and purlins.
