Description
Shenley Park House is an early 19th-century house constructed of ashlar stone that was formerly painted. It features a hipped slate roof with projecting eaves and flanking brick chimneys. The building has two storeys set on a high plinth, with a broad first-floor band and a first-floor cill band. The west front has three bays with four-pane wide sash windows set in shallow reveals. The ground floor includes tripartite windows on either side of a central six-panel door, which is topped by an arched fanlight and framed by an architrave surround in a Doric doorcase with engaged columns, each supporting a section of entablature that holds an open pediment. A flight of seven stone steps leads up to the entrance. The south front also has three bays, and there is a long service wing to the east featuring two-light casement windows.
