Description
The Dower House is a house, originally divided into two cottages, dating to the 17th century and altered subsequently. It is constructed of timber framing with colourwashed brick infill, with colourwashed rubble stone to the ground floor, and has an old tile roof. Two brick chimneys are present. The building is L-shaped. The east-facing front has a gabled wing to the left, and the right-hand part has two bays with two-light casement windows, one with cast iron. A door is present with an overhanging hood. The south-facing front has a gable to the left, irregular windows and a door to the right. The building is noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, Volume II, page 258.
