Description
Home Farmhouse, formerly known as Gallards Farmhouse, is an 18th-century farmhouse with a mid-19th century wing. The main section is rendered on red brick with flared headers and is partly colourwashed, while the wing is made of red brick. The northwest front features a slate roof pitch, and the remainder has concrete inter-locking tiles. The building has a letter-L plan and is two storeys high. The northwest front has three bays, with a central six-panel door set within an architraved doorcase that has a cornice hood. The windows are recessed barred sashes, and there are moulded eaves. A stack is located on the road side gable elevation, which has one blind window on the first floor and one ground floor sash window. The mid-19th century wing is also two storeys high, featuring a central architraved doorcase with a cornice hood, and the casement windows have a single central horizontal glazing bar.
