Description

Stonepits House is an 18th-century house with an 19th-century parallel rear range. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with the rear range featuring brick dressings. The original 18th-century block has an old tile roof, while the rear block has a slate roof. The double-pile house was created by the addition of the 19th-century rear range. The front has four bays and two storeys, with a six-panelled door in the second bay from the right, sheltered by a flat hood supported by cut brackets. There are two-light casement windows, with a three-light window on the ground floor of the right-hand bay. A brick stack is located between the left-hand bays, and another is in the right-hand gable. The rear range incorporates a mix of sash and casement windows.
