Description

No. 45 High Street is a house and offices built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of buff brick and features a Kent mansard roof. The building has lateral stacks on the main range and the rear wing. It stands three storeys tall and has a two-window range. The façade includes a round-headed former, a parapet with stone coping, and a plain string course. The windows have rubbed brick flat arches, with hornless sashes set in reveals: there are 12 panes on the second floor and 15 panes on the first floor. Wrought-iron railings form a balcony that spans the entire width of the house at the first-floor level. The ground floor has two later plate-glass horned sashes, with a panelled door and overlight located to the left.
