Description

Nos 85 and 87 High Street are two houses with shops, dating from around 1700, although the front was largely rebuilt in the late 20th century. The buildings are timber framed and weatherboarded throughout, featuring half-hipped dormers covered with Kent tiles. They are two storeys high and have a four-window range, with 12-pane hornless sash windows on the first floor. The shopfronts are designed in a late 20th century early Victorian style. Inside No 87, there are some early joists and a corner fireplace, along with ceiling beams present in No 85.
