Description

Nos 73 and 74 on Crocker Street are a pair of late 18th-century cottages. They are two storeys high, built with purple grey headers and red brick dressings, featuring an inlaid red brick string course and a stone plinth. The gable end has an old tile roof with two casement dormers. There is a red header eaves cornice, and each cottage has two sash windows with moulded flush wood frames, thin block sills, and flat brick arches. The recessed doors have four fielded panels and plain wood doorcases with bracketed hoods above. To the east, there is one window bay in the same style, which is part of No 34 Holyrood Street.
