Description
Nos 35 and 36 on Holyrood Street are late 18th century cottages that stand two storeys tall. They are constructed of red brick with some grey headers, set on a small rubble plinth. The cottages feature gable end roofs covered with old tiles and have stepped red brick eaves cornices. Each cottage has two windows on the upper floor, which are three-light casements with glazing bars, camber-headed frames, and segmental arches made of red headers. The ground floor also has three-light casement windows with wood block sills. The doors at either end of the cottages are recessed and framed with plain wood architraves.
