Description

This is an 18th-century building of two storeys, comprising three properties: numbers 15, 15A, and 16, located on Holyrood Street. The exterior is purple-grey headers with red brick dressings. It has a gable end with old tile roofing, three dormers, a dentil wood eaves cornice, and an inlaid red brick string course. There are three windows, recessed and with sash glazing. The windows on the first floor have three lights with glazing bars in the upper half of the sashes on numbers 15 and 16, and plain strips forming a frieze and cornice. Number 15 has reeded pilasters to the wall and panelled aprons. The front door is recessed with six fielded panels, a semi-circular fanlight, and a red brick arch. Number 15A retains the frame of a contemporary shop front, with a panelled door, a rectangular fanlight, and a cornice. Number 16 has a recessed panelled door with a Doric pilaster doorcase, a projecting cornice, and a small rectangular shop window with glazing bars and a cornice above. Numbers 15 to 20 form a group.
