Description
127 Pyle Street is an early 19th-century building that was originally used as livery stables or coaching premises. It is two storeys tall and constructed of painted brick. The building features a low pitch gable end slate roof and a brick eaves cornice. There are two recessed segment-headed sash windows with glazing bars. A gabled hatch is located on the east side. The ground floor has a central entrance leading to a covered way, which has a lintel that opens into a courtyard that is now glazed over. This area used to contain living quarters and stables, which have since been converted into garages. There is a door on the west side with a segment-headed fanlight and another segment-headed door on the east side, accompanied by a small side window. The building is part of a group that includes Nos. 124 to 127 and the Apollo Theatre.
