Description

Chantry House, part of the Rural District Offices, is a notable building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, constructed in chequered brick. The structure features seven windows, one of which is blocked, and retains original casements. Some windows have straight brick arches, while others have waved arches. The entrance boasts a rusticated doorcase from the late 18th century, topped with a pediment supported by plain brackets. Adjacent to it, No 31 has a wooden doorcase from the 19th century, which includes reeded pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice.
