Description
No. 6 St Thomas's Square is an early 19th-century building that features a front added to an earlier structure. It stands three storeys tall, constructed with purple grey headers and red brick dressings. The roof has a low pitch gable end covered with old tiles and is adorned with a wooden eaves cornice.
The building has two windows on the second floor, with the southern window being wider and recessed. These windows are sash style with intact glazing bars and block sills. On the first floor, there is a bay window to the south that consists of three lights and is supported by panelled Doric pilasters. This bay window also features a frieze and a heavy cornice, along with a panelled apron.
The mid-19th-century shop front window retains vertical glazing bars and is flanked by panelled Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a modillion cornice. There is a later segment-headed door located to the north.
