Description

Norton Thatch is a house dating from circa 1723, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble with red brick dressings and has a thatched roof, featuring a stone chimneystack. The house is of 1 1/2 storeys and has a symmetrical facade of 3, then 5 windows. Dormer windows of the early 20th century are set into the first floor. The ground floor windows are 20th-century casements, some with red brick dressings, and a central modern plank door protected by a tiled penticed weatherhood. The left side gable is dated 1723.
