Description
Quayside is a row of former coastguard cottages, now used as cottages, dated 1837 on the rear wall. The building is constructed of coursed stone rubble with red or white brick dressings and features a slate roof. It has a symmetrical design with an alley in the center, enclosed by a stone wall that includes a four-centred arched pedestrian archway. Each side of the building has gables with stone coping, kneelers, and ball finials at the tops.
On the first floor, there is one cambered 12-pane sash window on each gable. The right gable has a casement window on the ground floor, while the left gable features a double door. The right side wing has two windows on the first floor, with the right window being a 16-pane cambered sash and the left a large tripartite sash. The ground floor of this wing has four 12-pane sashes. The left side wing has two 12-pane cambered headed sashes on the first floor and two cambered sashes on the ground floor, consisting of one 12-pane and one tripartite sash.
