Description
The Glenbrook Hotel, which includes Henry's Kitchen, is a hotel and restaurant built around 1840. It is shown on the tithe map of 1842, although the end gable is dated 1882 and features a crest and the motto 'EST NEC ASTU'. The building is constructed of stone rubble with wooden decorative elements and has a thatched roof. It is L-shaped and has two storeys.
On the south-west elevation, there are four gabled dormers with fretted bargeboards that have pendants, along with casement windows featuring angular hood moulding. There are two brick chimneystacks set diagonally on the ridge. The L wing to the right has a half-hipped roof and an oriel window. The south-east elevation includes four windows, two in half-hipped gables and two in gables, along with a glazed verandah supported by rustic columns. Additionally, there are four diagonally placed yellow brick chimneystacks.
