Description

Vine Cottage is a house and shop built around 1835, as indicated on the 1842 Tithe map, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble and features a hipped thatched roof. It stands two storeys high and has four windows. The thatched roof has 'eyebrows' over the first-floor windows. The ground floor includes a modern canted shop window on the left and a wide modern door. There is a central mid-19th century canted bay with marginal glazing bars, a French window with marginal glazing, and casements. A clustered brick chimneystack is set diagonally on the building. To the right, there is a modern flat-roofed verandah, which is not of special interest.
