Description
The Old Church Parish Room, built around 1860, is designed in the Italianate style. It features red brick construction on a stone base, with a stuccoed front and a slate roof topped with a wooden lantern. The front of the building has a pediment, a dentil cornice, and an oculus. It is adorned with six Tuscan pilasters, four of which are part of the projecting section. The facade has incised lines that mimic masonry. The central doorcase includes a semi-circular fanlight with a moulded hood, a central vermiculated keystone, and console brackets, along with four fielded panelled double doors. The side elevations are marked by three round-headed windows, each with keystones. The roof is distinguished by two large louvred lanterns. Inside, there are wooden pilasters along the sides and a rear panelled wooden gallery supported by two chamfered wooden piers.
