Description
Nos 61 and 63 on High Street are late 18th-century buildings that stand two stories tall and are constructed from gault brick. A continuous parapet with a block cornice and coping connects both buildings. Number 61 features three recessed sash windows with glazing bars and block sills. The first-floor windows have flat stucco arches, while the ground-floor windows are round-headed with stucco arches above them. The recessed door has six fielded panels and is set back from a round-headed opening with a brick arch. Number 61 retains one original sash window with glazing bars, while the other windows are modern replacements designed in a late 18th-century style with glazing bars, replacing earlier superimposed bay windows. A new doorway has also been added, matching the style of the windows.
