Description

Kensington Place is a row of cottages dating from the mid-18th century, constructed in red brick. The building comprises two storeys and originally featured five windows, though only one retains glazing bars. A plain wood eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The roof is covered in old tiles and includes five dormers. The cottages at Nos 1 to 3 have simple four-panel wooden doors set within wooden frames. Nos 4 and 5 share a single segmental-headed wooden frame for their paired doors, with only No 5 retaining a six-panel door. Kensington Place forms a group with the Castle Public House at Nos 54 to 60 (even) and No 64.
