Description

Broadfields is a house constructed in two phases, with the rear section dating to the 18th century and the front range built in the early 19th century. The front range is of red brick with vitrified headers, topped by a tiled roof with brick chimney stacks at each end. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has three windows. Dormers with six-pane sashes light the attic space. The first floor windows are sash windows, including tripartite sashes at the ends. The ground floor features 19th-century French windows, and a glazed porch with a round-headed doorcase. A two-story, one-bay red brick extension, also from the early 19th century, adjoins the side. The rear range is of red brick on a cemented plinth, with a tiled roof and brick chimney stacks. It rises two storeys high and has two windows, along with a central blank panel containing a London Insurance plaque. Casement windows are present on the rear elevation.
