Description

The Eight Bells Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on the south side of High Street in Carisbrooke. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick, topped with a gable end tiled roof. The facade features two recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars and one dummy window. The entrance consists of a recessed door with six fielded panels, which is flanked by Doric pilasters and has a projecting cornice above. There is a ground floor addition to the west that includes a modillion cornice and a pediment above it.
