Description
This is an early 19th century row of cottages located on Quay Street. The cottages are built of grey headers with red brick dressings, with the header stones appearing more yellow on numbers 45 and 46. They have gable end slate roofs with a shallow wood eaves cornice. Numbers 43 and 44 have a stone plinth. Number 43 is larger, featuring two windows, while the other cottages each have one window on the ground floor, except for the first floor of number 45, which has two. The windows are recessed, have intact glazing bars, and block sills, each set within a flat brick arch. The recessed doors are made of six and four fielded panels, set within doorcases featuring thin Doric pilasters and bracketed hoods. Numbers 43 to 48 form a visual group.
