Description

No. 48 Quay Street is an early 18th-century house that stands two storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. It features a gable end slate roof and has a wooden eaves cornice band between the storeys, as well as a plinth at the base. The house has five windows, some of which retain their original casements and glazing bars, with flush wood frames and block sills. The entrance is a recessed door with six fielded panels, framed by a doorcase that includes Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a pediment. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 43 to 48 Quay Street.
