Description

The quay wall and slipway on the north side of Sea Street date from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone laid in squared courses, with large blocks used for coping. The paving has been partly renewed with both stone and concrete. The structure is approximately 20 yards long, featuring a sloping slip made of squared stones at the western end. It holds group value with the warehouses located opposite.
