Description

Nos 76 to 86 on High Street in Carisbrooke are an early 19th-century row of cottages. They are two storeys tall, constructed of red brick with grey headers and red brick dressings. The gable end roofs are covered with slate, with Nos 76 and 78 being slightly higher. Each cottage has one recessed sash window, most of which retain their glazing bars, along with block sills and segmental brick arches above the ground floor windows. The doors are recessed and feature four or six fielded panels, with two being glazed, also topped with segmental brick arches. These cottages, along with Nos 72 to 86, form a cohesive group.
