Description

No. 19 Union Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three stories tall, constructed with purple grey headers and red brick dressings. It features a low-pitched hipped slate roof with shallow wooden eaves cornice and slate-hung ends. The building has two recessed sash windows with glazing bars, block sills, and flat brick arches on both the ground and first floors. The entrance consists of a recessed door with four fielded panels and a narrow rectangular fanlight above. The doorcase is adorned with narrow Doric pilasters that have two flutes and a bracketed cornice hood. No. 19, along with Nos. 20 to 23, forms a cohesive group.
