Description
Nos 69 and 70 on St James's Street are mid-19th century buildings that stand three stories tall, constructed with purple grey headers and red brick dressings. They feature a gable end slate roof and a wooden eaves cornice. The second floor has two recessed tripartite sash windows without glazing bars, each with block sills and flat brick arches above. The first floor includes a bay window with three lights, similar to those found on Nos 67 and 68, but with plain strips and no apron. The contemporary shop front has two windows with two lights and plate glass. The entrance door of No 69 is recessed and consists of three fielded panels, two of which are glazed, topped with a semi-circular fanlight and a red brick arch above. Nos 67 to 76 form a group with these buildings.
