Description
This is a single-storey pumping station dating to 1883, designed by J G Livesay. It is constructed of stone rubble with red brick dressings. The building features two tall, round-headed windows with iron glazing bars. A recessed round-headed porch is flanked by these windows. Above the porch, the building corbels out to form a short clock turret within the gable apex, incorporating grooved rustication. The turret has a hipped tiled base and a short tiled spire. Deep eaves run along the gable, ornamented with “Swiss Cottage” fretwork.
