Description

Kippax is an early to mid-19th century house situated on Camp Road. The building is mainly constructed of stone rubble with red brick dressings, although a left-end bay is of painted brick. It has a slate roof with two brick chimneystacks. The house is two storeys high with a three-window front, plus one blocked window. It comprises two parallel ranges. All windows are notable for their unique large diamond glazing pattern, featuring two four-light casements and a two-light casement on the left end. A 20th-century gabled weatherboarded porch has been added to the front. The rear elevation includes three diamond-paned casements, a V-shaped first-floor window, and one sixteen-pane sash window. An attached outbuilding, constructed of matching materials, is located on the left-hand side.
