Description

Lea Cottage is a late 17th or early 18th century squatter’s cottage, extended in the 19th century. The exterior is a mix of painted brick in a stretcher bond pattern and colourwashed rubble. It has a thatched roof, and a rendered chimney stack featuring timber framing and brick infill. Leaded lights are present at the rear. Inside, one room contains a large chimneybreast with vertical panelling and wide floorboards. The cottage is included on the heritage register due to its rarity of survival.
