Description
32 and 33 The Strand are semi-detached buildings dating from around 1840 to 1850. They are similar in style to No 31, featuring three storeys and a basement. Each house has two-storey entrance bays with one window on either side. The central section includes three windows, each with two flat-roofed corniced bows on the basement, ground, and first floors. The glazing bars are intact except on the bows. The doors are recessed, with No 33 having modern doors, while No 32 has panelled and glazed doors with blind fanlights, stepped reveals, and plain rendered surrounds. Access to the entrances is via flights of seven steps, which have parapets, copings, and piers. No 33 features cast iron urns on its steps. Nos 31 to 38 form a group.
